Dr Sumudu graduated in Sri Lanka in 2004 and practised there for ten years before relocating to Australia in 2016. Following her move, she undertook further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, receiving a Diploma in Ob/Gyn from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2017. She is accredited for GP obstetric shared care with Monash Health and Peninsula Health.

Dr Sumudu holds a HealthCert Certificate of Skin Cancer Training, Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, and Professional Certificate of General Dermatology. She is also registered as a Focused Psychological Strategies provider for eligible patients with mental health conditions.

A Fellow of the RACGP, Dr Sumudu’s special interests are women’s health, dermatology, and mental health.

Dr Sumudu speaks English and Sinhala.
